Capitalizing Proper Adjectives
Kata sifat jenis ini berkaitan dengan asal, agama, paham, silsilah dsb.
Contoh:

• Frech fries
• the Ming Dynasty
• the English Parliament

Collective Adjectives

Kata sifat pada umumnya disertai dengan the sehingga dapat bertindak sebagai kata benda. Kata sifat jenis ini selalu digolongkan sebagai plural (jamak) sehingga kata kerja yang mengikutinya juga harus dalam bentuk plural.

Contoh:

• The rural poor have been helped by the government.
• The rich of Hollywood are responsible.
• The elderly begin to demand their rights.

A-Adjectives

Kata sifat jenis ini biasa dikenal sebagai predicative adjectives yang muncul setelah linking verb. A-adjectives meliputi ablaze, afloat, afraid, aghast, alert, alike, alive, alone, aloof, ashamed, asleep, averse, awake, aware.

Contoh:

• The girl was ashamed.
• The trees were ablaze.
• I'm alone.

Premodifiers with Degrees of Adjectives

Kata sifat ini tidak berdiri sendiri namun, didahului oleh premodifiers yang berfungsi untuk memberikan tingkatan kata sifat yang lebih.

Contoh:

• We were a lot more careful this time.
• We like his work so much better.
• You'll get your watch back all the faster.
